Becca and James don't date. Both are in their thirties and neither has found anyone they feel is potential spouse material. Becca attends a "We Hate Valentine's Day" party at a local bar where James is bartending. He knows from the first day they meet that Becca is someone special, but Becca's more cautious. James sets out to prove to Becca there really are happy-ever-afters.

Blurb for Red Hot Valentine series: All-new sexy stories from today's hottest romance authors, including Randi Alexander, Shyla Colt, Sable Hunter, Desiree Holt, Cassandra Carr, Graylin Rane, Michel Prince, Jodi Redford, Aliyah Burke, Christin Lovell, and Ty Langston. Don't have a Valentine? You do now! Eleven, to be exact.

Cassandra Carr is a multi-award winning romance writer. When not writing she enjoys watching hockey and hanging out online. Cassandra's books have won numerous "Best Book Of" awards and her novella Unexpected Top was nominated in the E-book Erotic Romance category of RT's Reviewers' Choice Awards.

She thinks the best part of being a writer is how she writes about love and sex while most others struggle with daily commutes, micro-managing bosses and cranky co-workers. Her inspiration comes from everywhere, but she'd particularly like to thank the Buffalo Sabres, the hockey team near and dear to her heart.

Short and to the point. James and Becca meet at an anti-Valentine's Day party. James was the bartender who saw more potential in Becca that those around her. A single Becca just wanted to get out of the house on the most romantic day of the year. Kismet happens and those two find themselves with a date!
There is a good deal of sexual tension in this short. The conflicts aren't really external. It's all about waiting for just the right person to share that happily-ever-after with and waiting for the sparks to fly. Their first encounter leaves you panting for the next, but I won't spoil the surprise by telling you what happens! I give Cassandra Carr's well written Valentine's Day short story a full 5 stars!
